Chicago Cubs information,

There are few teams that can rival the spirit and history of the Chicago Cubs.; The Boys in Blue are one of two MLB clubs based in Chicago. Established in 1870, the organization is one of two original members of the Central Division of MLB's National League. Purchasing Chicago Cubs tickets not only offers fans a chance to see big name players vie for a win, they also get to marvel at Wrigley Field, one of the oldest ballparks in the nation with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan as the backdrop.

The Chicago Cubs have been playing in the Midwest city of Chicago since their inception. Known by a few different team monikers, the Cubbies have been sporting their present team name since 1902. Playing on the grounds of their beloved Wrigley Field, the stadiums location on Chicagos north side is the basis for the teams The North Siders nickname.

Though the team has a storied history, it's also one that's been full of ups and downs. Between 1908 and 2012, the Cubs did not win a single World Series title, and they often lost in heartbreaking fashion. Despite the disappointment, the Cubs fan base is among the league's most loyal.

Cubs fans are diehard. With the team possessing the infamous record of not having won a championship over a period of more than 100 years, one cannot be a fair-weather fan. Regardless of the teams tournament baseball rankings, the Chicago Cubs have produced a number of Hall of Fame Baseball players. In 2007 the Cubbies made an incredible turnaround from worst to first under then new manager Lou Piniella, giving fans a glimmer of hope. Unfortunately the team made an early exit in the first round of the playoffs in a three game sweep.

In true baseball fashion, nothing would be complete without a few contentions; step up to the plate St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers and the cross-town Chicago White Sox. In 2010 the Chicago Cubs beat rival team Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley on opening day. The sweet victory of the smaller battles won.

The Cubs once rivaled the Boston Red Sox for having both one of the oldest ballparks in the U.S., and the longest World Series drought. With the Sox taking home the title in 2004 and again in 2007, it seems like the time has come for the Cubs to do the same. Having such a weight hanging over the team's heads might make it even more exciting to see them play live, since they have so much to prove to fans and other teams alike.

Whether they are on the top or somewhere well below the surface, the Cubbies are on a quest to give their fans a historic baseball first the breaking of the teams unlucky record. Dont miss a game because you just might be missing the start of a new Cubs era. Get your Chicago Cubs baseball tickets today and perhaps your Cubs World Series tickets will be just around the corner!
